    Level 2 Door Supervisor Course Details

    This course will award you an SIA recognised Security Qualification which will enable you to apply for your SIA Door Supervisor Licence, and start working in the security industry.

    We will prepare you for a career within the private security industry and teach you the skills you will need to begin your new career.

    From 01 April 2021 learners taking their Door Supervision training for the first time will need to hold a current and valid First Aid At Work or Emergency First Aid certificate.

    On the first day of your course you will complete a EFAW Course which will then enable you to enter the next phase of your Door Supervisor Training.

    Course Units

    In order to complete this course, learners are required to complete the following four mandatory modules:

    Module 1: Principles of working in the private security industry
    Module 2: Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor in The Private Security Industry
    Module 3: Application of Conflict Management in The Private Security Industry
    Module 4: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
    Emergency First Aid At Work

    Adult resuscitation (CPR)
    Burns and scalds
    Choking adult
    Communication and casualty care
    Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)
    Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)
    Minor and severe bleeding
    Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
    Seizures
    Shock
    Unresponsive adult

    Assessment

    The SIA Door Supervisor course is assessed by four multiple-choice paper exams and three practical assessments that you will complete during attendance as follows:

    Module 1: Principles of working in the private security industry

    • 72-question multiple-choice exam paper
    • Examination duration: 110 minutes
    • 70% pass mark

    Module 2: Principles of working as a door supervisor in the private security

    • 50-question multiple-choice exam paper
    • Examination duration: 75 minutes
    • 70% pass mark

    Module 3: Application of conflict management in the private security industry

    • 20-question multiple-choice exam paper
    • Examination duration: 30 minutes
    • 70% pass mark

    Module 4: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry

    • 30-question multiple-choice exam paper
    • Examination duration: 45 minutes
    • 80% pass mark

     Emergency First Aid At Work

    Continuous observation by the trainer.

    • 15-question multiple choice exam paper
    • Examination Duration: 30 minutes
    • 70% Pass Mark
